Community Sport and Health Officer

A Community Sport and Health Officer's main role is to drive a change in the attitude towards sport and exercise within communities. You will often work within or in collaboration with local communities to deliver opportunities to local residents.

Course Description

This course will see you engaging people in sport and physical activity across local communities. You will develop youth engagement and community development skills to engage inactive and hard to reach youth and communities. You will also develop behavioural change skills from public health to contribute to securing a lasting change in healthier lifestyles.

4 - Disciplines of sport and community development 

5 - Understanding occupational limitations and boundaries 

6 - Fundamental principles of safeguarding 

7 - Fundamental principles of first aid in a community sport environment

• Age 16+ 

• EU / UK Resident for 3+ years.

• You will be required to have achieved Level 1 English and Maths

and achieved Level 2 English and Maths tests prior to completion.

• You must be in employment.
