It also looks at the different types of layout features and how these can impact the reader. All of the reading skills that you will look at will be tested in quizzes at the end of each section, followed by an assessor-marked assignment, ensuring that you are ready to sit your final exam
- Writing – This Functional Skills Level 2 English curriculum examines appropriate writing techniques for specific pieces. This could contain, among other things, emails, blogs, newspaper articles, and letters. You'll also be tested on your grammar, punctuation, and spelling in this module. Quizzes and assessor-marked tasks at the conclusion of your course make sure you are prepared for your final exam.
- Speaking, Listening and Communication – One of the most beneficial and enjoyable aspects of improving English functional skills is the speaking, listening, and communicating (SLC) component. This Functional Skills Level 2 English module provides you with practice for the SLC assessment by demonstrating how to handle common situations both at home and at work. Together with our quizzes and assessor-marked assignments, they will help you become more confident and competent in these situations and prepare you for the SLC assessment.

Quizzes will assess the application of these skills across various contexts, while the assessor-marked assignment will highlight areas for further review.
