Modules Covered
To attain the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis, candidates must complete four modules, pass corresponding examinations, and undergo an oral exam at a designated BCS Examination Location. Upon successful completion of these stages, the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis is conferred. Examination fees are payable directly to Pearson VUE for written exams and directly to BCS for other components, excluding the Oral exam, which is inclusive within this training package.
The core modules include:
- The BCS Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice (Virtual Classroom with eLearning) – This module provides a comprehensive understanding of the organisation through strategic analysis tools and techniques aimed at enhancing business processes.
- The BCS Practitioner Certificate in Requirements Engineering (Virtual Classroom with eLearning) – This module delves into the requirements engineering process, covering elicitation, analysis, validation, documentation, and management of requirements.
In addition, candidates must select a Knowledge-based specialism:
- The BCS Foundation Certificate in Organisational Behaviour (Virtual Classroom with eLearning) – This module explores the intricate factors shaping organisational operations, including organisational design principles and operating models.
Finally, candidates must complete the Practitioner-based module:
- The BCS Practitioner Certificate in Modelling Business Processes (Virtual Classroom with eLearning) – This module guides candidates through various levels and aspects of modeling business processes, culminating in frameworks for process improvement.
An Oral Examination Preparation Workshop day (Virtual training only) is also available to aid candidates in preparing for the oral examination required to obtain the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
International Diploma in Business Analysis Exam Details:
Written examinations for each module can be scheduled directly through Pearson VUE. Once all four written exams are successfully passed, candidates may book the oral examination directly with BCS. The oral exam, lasting up to 50 minutes and conducted by two examiners, consists of questions based on topics outlined in the syllabus and selected specialist modules. These questions assess candidates' ability to apply their business analysis knowledge and understanding to scenarios presented by the examiners.
It's important to note that examination fees, excluding the Oral exam, are covered within the training package. The BA oral examination represents the final stage leading to the BCS International Diploma Certification and can be taken upon passing the four written examinations administered by Pearson VUE
