Incorrect manual handling practices represent a prevalent cause of workplace injuries. In response to this issue, the Manual Handling Operations Regulations were implemented.
These Regulations establish responsibilities for both employees and employers. They mandate that employees receive training in proper manual handling techniques, including the utilisation of any equipment provided by their employer to handle loads safely.
Our Manual Handling Online course defines manual handling and addresses the regulations and legislation pertinent to manual handling tasks. It also educates participants on safe handling techniques and the cultivation of good habits in manual handling practices. Finally, it introduces practical solutions and the utilisation of mechanical aids.
