This highlights the growing need for support in the SEND sector and the demand for qualified teaching assistants in schools.

This Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification with SEND pathway is a structured program that offers a rewarding career in SEND. The program combines practical experience and theoretical knowledge to help you develop the skills you need to effectively support students with SEND.

As a teaching assistant, you will typically work with small groups of students with SEND to help them get the most out of classroom life and achieve their learning goals. You will provide individualised support, promote inclusion, and help students with SEND thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Funding is based on the government and certain areas that colleges may be based in. If your area currently doesn’t have funding this usually means that either the college has overallocated students to their courses or the area falls in a region where government funds aren’t currently supplied to colleges in that particular area.
