The Functional Skills English Level 1 qualification is designed to equip learners with the essential language skills needed for employment, further education, and everyday communication. By completing this qualification, learners demonstrate their ability in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and effective communication in English, applying these skills to both professional and real-world contexts.
- Video Tutorials: Key topics from the Level 1 English curriculum are covered through video tutorials, offering guidance on grammar, punctuation, letter writing, essay composition, and more, providing support at every stage of your learning journey.
- Practice Activities: After studying each area of English, you can test your understanding with a variety of practice exercises. These are designed to challenge your knowledge and build your confidence.

You will complete an initial assessment, followed by a diagnostic which will give you your individual skills plan. This will allow you to work at your own pace through this self-driven course. Your diagnostic will set your work, meaning you may have a different starting point depending on your current skills.
