Course Description
Functional Skills English Level 1 is an alternative foundation qualification similar to if you were learning GCSE English in years 10 and 11. Our Level 1 English online course uses real-life examples to improve your reading, writing and speaking skills to allow you to progress on to a level 2 functional skills qualification. If you find learning English easier with practical examples and need to learn the basics before testing yourself at a higher level, this is the course for you. A Level 1 English qualification will allow you to progress onto higher level 2 English qualifications, which can help to improve your career options. For example, on completion of a level 2 English qualification, you’ll be able to apply for jobs in careers such as nursing, teaching, policing, the fire service and many more. You’ll also be able apply for higher education courses, apprenticeships and training courses.
