Course Description
Asbestos stands out as one of the most hazardous building materials ever utilised. Each year, numerous individuals suffer from illnesses and fatalities due to asbestos exposure, a material extensively employed in the construction industry until as late as 2000.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) is applicable to employers, employees, self-employed individuals, and duty holders, encompassing all activities involving asbestos-containing materials. Under Regulation 10 of CAR, employers are mandated to ensure that adequate information, instruction, and training are provided to employees likely to encounter asbestos. This encompasses maintenance personnel and others who may come into contact with or disturb asbestos.
In addition to raising awareness about the dangers associated with asbestos exposure, our Asbestos Awareness E-learning Course will furnish participants with knowledge to identify asbestos-containing materials. It will also familiarise them with its historical usage, offer insights into risk mitigation strategies, and discuss relevant legislation governing asbestos-related work.
