Social housing is often provided as a more affordable alternative to renting with a more secure, long-term tenancy agreement. With some people who apply for social housing in more vulnerable positions, it's important to know how to support them.

Course Description

In the UK, there are over 4 million residents living in social housing. Some social housing tenants are more vulnerable than others, therefore it's important that those who work in social housing have an understanding of the issues tenants may face, the services available to them and how to record and report any potential problems they may have to deal with.

1 - Introduction to the social housing sector  

2 - Understand the principles of safeguarding and equality and diversity  

3 - Understand mental and physically ill health  

4 - Understand reasons for problematic behaviour  

5 - Understand issues affecting isolated tenants
