About the Course

This course will see you support the needs of existing and potential users for access to information in an ethical and fair or appropriate manner.


  • Achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 Qualification
  • Build a foundation for progression in the information sector
  • You will meet the requirements for registration as Certified Member of CILIP (ACLIP), subject to becoming a member
  • You will meet the requirements for registration as Foundation Member of the ARA (FMARA), subject to becoming a member

  • Undertaking regulation and compliance checking
  • Performing preservation practices to keep collections physically safe using institutional guidelines

This course is fully funded and is available to anyone who falls within the eligibility requirements below: 

• Age 16+ 
• EU / UK Resident for 3+ years
• You will be required to have achieved Level 1 English and Maths
and achieved Level 2 English and Maths tests prior to completion
•For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement,
the apprenticeships English and Maths minimum requirements are Entry Level 3,
and the British Sign Language qualification is an alternative to English qualifications,
for those whom this is their primary language.
• You must be in employment.
