About the Course

This course is aimed at those who wish to become an Electrical apprentice and have also been able to secure employment to do so. You will achieve all the Level 3 outcomes required to match the occupational framework.

Course Units

Unit 1: Health and Safety legislation, practices and procedures.

Unit 2: Environmental legislation, practices and procedures.

Unit 3: Practices and procedures for overseeing / organizing work environment.

Unit 4: Practices and procedures for preparation & installing wiring systems etc.

Unit 5: Principles of planning & selection for installing elec. Equipment etc.

Unit 6: Principles, practices & legislation of termination/connection of conductors.

Unit 7: Principles, practices & legislation of inspection, testing & commissioning.

Unit 8: Principles, practices & legislation for diagnosing & correcting faults.

This course is fully funded and is available to anyone who falls within the eligibility requirements below: 

• You have not yet received a Level 3 qualification or higher (equivalent to an A-level or higher).
• Age 19+ .
• EU / UK Resident for 3+ years.
• You will be required to have achieved Level 1 English and Maths
and achieved Level 2 English and Maths tests prior to completion.
A willingness to continue to develop personal ICT skills to a level in-line with the LST role
