Job Details | Apprentice Project Manager

Your work will be both varied and challenging. You will work with colleagues to influence how the FCA operates You will get access and exposure to a wide range of FCA colleagues, including senior FCA decision makers. Your network will span cross-organisationally as well as across S&C There will be opportunities to work on other improvement projects across the division, or to work on other Consumer Policy matters such as research and matters regarding the wider regulatory family


From regulating Consumer Credit to driving action on Foreign Exchange manipulation or helping strengthen accountability in the banking sector, the FCA is working with the industry to protect consumers, ensure the integrity of the UK financial system and promote fair and effective competition. Our remit has expanded significantly since our creation in 2013, with the number of firms we regulate growing from 23,000 to over 56,000. We oversee conduct across the full span of the financial sector from global investment banks to high street payday lenders, and are now preparing to implement a new strategy that will sharpen our focus to face the regulatory challenges ahead.


To work on a variety of projects, either for Consumer Retail Policy or Group Tactical & Operations Planning across the group. You may be required to support the delivery of policy papers and initiatives, or you may also be asked to own and execute discrete business improvement projects.


Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages - particularly Word, Outlook, Access Excel and PowerPoint


Apprentices who successfully complete their professional qualification and apprenticeship programme will be considered for a permanent role within the FCA.


Minimum of 2 A Levels at grades A-C (or equivalent) 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
